PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:
I have been an educator for 12 years. Ten of these years include teaching in the Norwalk La Mirada Unified School District. I have taught at the elementary and middle school levels in the areas of Language Arts, Reading and Social Studies. I attended California State University Long Beach and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism and later attended Whittier College where I received my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. In addition, I have a Master of Arts Degree in Adult Education with a supplemental credential in English and ESL. I also coach and mentor new teachers throughout the district. Some of my hobbies include spending time with my daughter, kickboxing, Pilates, traveling and attending jazz festivals.
